The EOS 5D Mark II of course features a full-frame sensor, but the resolution enjoys a considerable boost from the 12.8 Megapixels of its predecessor to 21.1 Megapixels. This in fact matches the resolution of Canon’s current flagship, the 1Ds Mark III, but it’s not the same sensor.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III emerges as the winner in the optics comparison with a score of 67/100, while the Canon EOS 5D Mark II scores 59/100. Both cameras share several specifications, including a CMOS sensor, Full Frame sensor size, Canon EF lens mount, and lack of image stabilization.

The 5D Mark IV has an awesome 30.4-megapixel full frame CMOS sensor. It is a departure from the 5D Mark III, which many users appreciated back then as well as now.

21.1 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor The EOS 5D Mark II delivers an 8.3 megapixel jump in pixel count from the original 5D.
