I've now put over 1000 miles now on the KTM690R and my observations as compared to my old DR650 are follows: Pros: Much more power. Revves forever. Much better suspension. Better throttle response with FI that has various settings depending on your preference. Better brakes with ABS.
With more buzz than a hive of angry bees and a tall, narrow seat carved from granite, KTM’s 690 Enduro R leaves a lot to be desired as a street bike. Don’t get me wrong, with a feisty, 67-claimed-horsepower thumper and weighing just 340 pounds, the 690 is a fast, flickable bike on any twisty road, the tighter the better.

The KTM 690 Enduro R was redesigned for 2019. For 2019, the bike got a redesign. The frame, bodywork and suspension are new and the engine is updated. Like many of the machines in the adventure bike world, it has a big collection of electronic features. The throttle cable is gone, it has cornering antilock braking and lean-angle sensitive
