All you need to do is res a dead npc to get xp for events. Run with the commander from fort to fort and do the meta. Use birthday boosters, xp boosters, guild booster, banners, food, fireworks. I leveled my Necro with all minions pretty quickly, however I guess I did 'speed leveling' wrong by doing hearts and such.
