Chris Nov 24, 2022 @ 11:39am. Do NOT buy Dragon Age Games on Steam. DA:O does NOT work. In fact nor does DA:I. Crashes constantly. Investigate this and you will find that the Steam version simply does not work and there are major issues with it. Stop selling games that require us to jump through hoops to fix them.

Since you have the Ultimate Edition, I don't think that the mods giving you a chest to keep things in at your camp will change much for you, but it is an option. Now to changing how the game looks. For general textures I recommend Theta HD over JB3, though some people prefer JB. Theta and JB generally just improve the noticeably bad textures
Run services.msc. Find Windows Management Instrumentation. Right click WMI and click Pause. Start DA and wait for the configuration to complete. Once it's done right click WMI and click Resume. This will not need to be done again, it should start up every time now.
